Let’s now see the steps to install the MacOS Sierra in VirtualBox on your Windows 10. So, let’s start with the first step:

Download MacOS Sierra

  • Download the MacOS Sierra setup from this link.
  • Next, extract the MacOS Sierra image file to your desired location.
  • Also, remember to enable virtualization on your system’s BIOS.

Next, Download Oracle VM VirtualBox

  • Download the Oracle VM VirtualBox from here.
  • After you download the VirtualBox setup files, tap on it and proceed with clicking the appropriate option in the prompts that ensue.

Create a new VM

  • To create your new Virtual Machine, open your VirtualBox.

  • To edit your newly created Virtual Machine, you need to first tap on “Preferences”.
  • Thereafter, tap on “General” and set everything to “Default”.
  • Next, go to “System” and you need to apply the settings as given below.

CPU: Select 2 CPU and then enable PAE/NX

System: Here, enable EFI and simultaneously disable Floppy. Thereafter, choose IHC9 or PIIX3 as your chipset.

Graphics: Set your video memory to 128MB or above.

Memory: Here, you need to select MacOS 10.12 Sierra.vmdk.

Also, remember to set your hard drive to SATA port 0 under “Attributes”.

Add some Code to VirtualBox using Command Prompt

  • Now, you know that you need to add some Code (given below) to your VirtualBox using your Command Prompt terminal (run as administrator).
  • But, before that remember that you will need to edit “Shubham’s VM” with the name of your own VM (you can find it by going to “Preferences” — > “General” —> “Basic”).
