It’s simple. Asian countries do not have a lot of regulations on chip manufacturing, and they have the manpower needed to produce these, so they are a reliable source of supply.

There is also an obvious reason for outsourcing crisps – cost efficiency. By outsourcing production to countries like Taiwan, U.S. companies like Apple can save on the additional costs they would have otherwise had to incur.
