Can You Join Multiple Zoom Meetings at Once? Over the past year, Zoom has been a lifesaver for millions of working people around the world. You use it almost every workday to connect with colleagues, supervisors, and customers alike. Many of us also use Zoom for personal communication, largely because of its generous free license and ease of use.

While Zoom’s global reach is broadly beneficial, it also presents a unique problem. Suppose you intend to deal with two clients simultaneously will you be able to do it on Zoom, that is to say, can you join multiple Zoom meetings at once? So, let’s see in the below section, insights on this problem and also some relevant solutions that may help.

Zoom allows you to join multiple meetings or webinars at the same time, albeit with a few limitations. As generous as the tool is, Zoom does not allow free users to take the reins and hold multiple meetings at once. If you try to go to another meeting from your free Zoom account, you’ll be prompted to leave the current meeting and join the new one instead. However, if your company or school/college has access to a Zoom Business or Education license, you can join multiple meetings at once, especially with the intervention of your system administrator.

Join Multiple Zoom Meetings on PC

According to Zoom’s official guide, it is indeed possible to join two meetings at the same time. However, this feature is reserved for Business or Education account users only. Pro and free users have been intentionally left out. If you belong to the two privileged categories, then:

  • Check if the “Join different meetings at the same time” option is enabled under the “In Meeting” section.
  • After you have checked this, start the Zoom Desktop Client.
  • Thereafter, join the first meeting via the desktop client as usual.
  • Now, for the subsequent meetings, you will need to go to the Zoom join page and enter the meeting ID of the conversation you want to join.
  • Finally, join the meeting via the browser and you’ll be in two Zoom meetings at once.

Premium Enterprise, Business, and Education users can hold two meetings at the same time. However, by default, they cannot be present in two of them at the same time. Let’s see how:

  • After you start one meeting, you may go to the main menu page and click the “New Meeting” option again.
  • This will result in another meeting session.

Alternatively:

  • You can also join one meeting as usual via the desktop app and the other via your preferred browser.
  • Do make sure the “Join different meetings at the same time on the desktop” option is enabled.
  • That’s it! You are good to go.

Can You Join Two Zoom Meetings At Once — If you have a Free Account? ~~> ~~>

As we have seen in the last two sections, the option to hold and join multiple meetings is reserved for premium users only. And while that’s fine for most organizations and institutions, it might be a bit daunting for free Zoom users. But, fortunately, there are a few workarounds that will surely help, so let us see what they are.

Using Browser tabs

If you have a free account, you can only join a single meeting through your Zoom profile. Fortunately, you can easily join a separate meeting using your desktop browser.

  • Zoom does not force you to have a registered account to join a meeting.
  • So, simply paste the meeting link into the address bar of your browser and connect with the meeting participants.
  • After you paste the link, Zoom will do its best to direct you to your desktop client.
  • However, since you are already using the desktop client to attend another meeting, you’ll need to select the “Join from your browser” option
  • Finally, on the next screen, enter your name, complete the captcha, and click “Join”.
  • That’s it!

Alternatively:

You can also use the incognito tab and join as many meetings as you want.

Use Multiple Accounts on Multiple Devices

This method may not be quite as convenient as the first, but it can work for people with multiple email IDs. Here’s what you got to do:

  • First, create multiple Zoom accounts using your various accounts and then you can log in from different devices.
  • Go to zoom.us and follow the logging in or signing up process as applicable.
  • Now, that you will not be using a single account to join meetings at the same time, there are no restrictions you need to follow.

Multiple Zoom Meetings on Smartphones — A Possibility?

Zoom’s mobile client is pretty good in its own right, but it’s missing a few key features – one of which is simultaneous meetings. Not only can you not have multiple meetings through the mobile app, but you also can not join them. Since most mobile devices lack power, Zoom has reserved the power-hungry features for computers only.

Fixing Sound Issues while attending multiple meetings

Since a computer is unable to separate audio sources, it would simply route both meetings through your speakers or headphones. This means that attending two meetings at the same time would do you no good, as the outputs would be mixed. However, if you have the luxury of giving priority to one of the two meetings, there is an option that allows you to lower the volume of one meeting while keeping the other.

  • Right-click the volume button in the lower right corner of your screen.
  • Now go to ‘Open volume mixer’.
  • You will then see all the applications that are now open and making noise.
  • Since the Zoom desktop client and your browser tab are individual entities, you can adjust their volume separately.
  • When you are happy with the volume, click anywhere else on the screen to exit the volume mixer.
