Why do we need a Twitch Offline Banner in the first place? We need it because when we are offline, it helps us make our viewers know that we are offline and that we are not streaming online.

Having the best and professional Twitch channel page is important for the success of your streaming career and therefore, you should try to have a well-designed and attractive Twitch offline screen.

One thing to but note here is, the banner should be of the apt size and shall also contain correct info about the date-time of your stream.

Twitch Offline Banner Sizes

The best and recommended Twitch offline screen size should be 1920 x 1080pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio and the file should be in PNG, JPG, or GIF format with a maximum file size of 10 MB.

You can either create it yourself or I will explain how to create it below. So follow the steps carefully:

  • Open Twitch Online Banner Maker and quickly sign in with your email.
  • Now, scroll down to the “Headers, Banners, and Profile Pages” section and click on Twitch Offline Banner.
  • On the next page, you can start from scratch or use the templates presented and then edit them.
  • Select a template of your choice and click on it.
  • The template editor will now open and you can start editing.
  • Thereafter, click on the Title section and replace it with the name of your channel.
  • Likewise, do the same for the other details like social media information, your streaming time etc.
  • If you want to add anything to this banner, you can do so in the editor on the left.
  • You can also make other changes like graphics and other effects.

  • When you are done, click on Download which is located at the top right corner.
  • Once you click Download, more options will appear.
  • You can choose Retina JPG (2x size) or whatever you like.

Changing the Banner Size

Now that the Twitch offline image has been created, we can replace the default offline screen with the attractive offline Twitch banner. Let’s see how do we do it:

  • Click on your profile icon on the far right top and select Creator Dashboard.
  • Thereafter, click on Settings and further select Channel from the drop-down list.
  • You now move to the My Profile section.
  • On the tab above, click Brand.
  • Scroll down to find the Video Player Banner section and click Update.
  • Click Upload Photo and browse to the location of the offline image you just created.
  • Hurray! it is finally done.

Twitch Banner Not Showing up

If the Twitch offline banner is not displayed after uploading, you need to be patient at first because sometimes the Twitch server takes a little longer to display the offline screen. If you still do not see the offline image, try the following tips.

  • You need to first and foremost, check for cache data issues by opening the Twitch screen by going incognito. For this, you can simply press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • If you created a Twitch offline banner using the above method, then, try to download the same in Retina JPG format (2x size) instead of PNG.
