What does a profile picture do? It basically gives information about who you are in reality. In Snapchat, the profile picture or the display picture(another term for the same) is by default a ghost-face or either your face or even a GIF, i.e. anything that you wish to have as your display picture. It is necessary because it gives people an idea of who you are and then they can add you back, especially if they know you. A few years ago, you could add a profile “photo” or video to your Snapchat profile, but now you only have the option of adding a Bitmoji or just using the default Snapchat persona. In this post, we will be seeing how to make a Snapchat Profile Picture change.

Introducing Bitmoji

The Bitmoji character is one you create when you set up your account. Once you create it, you can edit it as needed and it changes the avatar for the entire account so you do not have to change it anywhere else. You can change the look of your bitmoji and the type of post it makes. If you change it, this will show up to anyone who tries to Snapchat you.

Snapchat Bitmoji change

Snapchat and Bitmoji are again connected as they share a parent company and are integrated with each other because of this connection. Now you can edit your Bitmoji through Snapchat, thanks to a special option, or you may even use the default Bitmoji app. It does not matter which app you use to edit your Bitmoji. So, here’s you effect the change :

  • Launch the Snapchat app.
  • Tap on your profile picture.
  • Scroll down to ‘Bitmoji’ > ‘Edit my Bitmoji’ and ‘Change outfit’. Select any of the option.
  • Swipe your hand left and right to choose different features you can change, such as hair color, eye color, outfits, to name a few.
  • Tap the green check mark in the top right corner when you are satisfied.

Deleting the Bitmoji

If you do not want to have a Bitmoji anymore and just want to use Snapchat’s default persona, you’ll need to unlink your Bitmoji from your Snapchat. Let’s see how we do it :

  • Launch Snapchat
  • Click on your profile picture / bitmoji.
  • Finally, tap Unlink My Bitmoji to unlink your accounts from each other.

Snapchat Profile Picture Change

  • Launch the Snapchat app and go to the ghost icon, your default profile picture.
  • Now, tap on your personal Snapcode in your profile overview to change the picture in the Ghost.
  • Your Snapcode will now be enlarged and the trigger button will appear at the bottom.
  • Now tap the button and you can take up to five photos. These will then be stitched together in an animation and then displayed in Snapcode as a profile picture.
  • You also have the option to add a cartoon version of yourself as a profile picture via the Bitmoji app.
